The ARAI Helmets Quantum-X Pearl Black helmet is designed for riders seeking a premium combination of comfort, safety, and advanced features. Its round oval shape is achieved through an interior headliner that combines thicker front and rear pads with thinner side pads, making it ideal for riders with slightly wider heads. The helmet features a water-repellent ES chin cover that enhances its sleek egg shape, ensuring a secure fit and added protection against the elements.
Equipped with a VAS-Max Vision shield compatible with a VAS-MV Pinlock® lens, the Quantum-X offers excellent clarity and fog resistance. The improved shield latch captures and securely holds the shield closed, preventing accidental openings during rides. The larger latch design allows for intuitive and seamless shield operation, providing quick adjustments when needed.
The helmet’s side vent functions as an exhaust vent even when the front shutter is closed on the top duct, promoting optimal airflow and temperature regulation. The QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts ensure efficient air intake and exhaust, enhancing rider comfort on long journeys. The chin cover not only smooths airflow but also increases exhaust from the mouth area, reducing wind noise and improving overall comfort.
The helmet incorporates the Peripherally Belted - Super Complex Laminate Construction (PB-SCLC) shell, which combines multiple materials and techniques to deliver a lightweight yet durable shell that offers excellent impact absorption. The FCS® cheek pads are contoured with multiple foam densities supported by a foam “spring,” cradling the face and making helmet on-off easier while blocking wind noise. The helmet's improved glance-off ability is achieved through the Variable Axis System (VAS), lowering the pivot point by an average of 24 mm for a smoother shell surface that better reduces impact energy in critical temple areas. This advanced design enhances rider safety without compromising comfort or style.
