The ARAI Helmets Corsair-X Doohan Restyle Helmet in XL offers superior protection and comfort for motorcycle riders. Designed with an intermediate oval shape, it fits the majority of head shapes in North American markets, providing a secure and comfortable fit for extended riding sessions. Its internal air channel system enhances ventilation by effectively pulling hot and moist air from the eye port area through ducted channels behind the cheek pads, which exhaust out the side cowl vents. This design helps keep the rider cool and reduces fogging, ensuring optimal visibility in various conditions. The helmet features a robust PB-SNC2 shell made from Z Resin, developed and blended in-house to bond multiple layers securely using less resin. This innovation results in a shell that is stronger and lighter, with excellent Glancing Off properties. The combination of Super Fiber and synthetic reinforcing fibers further enhances shell strength while maintaining a lightweight profile, offering a balanced mix of durability and comfort. The internal Structural net and Peripheral Belt provide additional reinforcement with minimal weight increase, enhancing impact resistance and structural integrity. The shield employs the Variable Axis System (VAS) latch, which securely holds the shield closed and resists unexpected openings. Its VAS shield mechanism combines a precise pin trajectory with a double pivot point, allowing smooth opening and closing even with a lower shield mount. The dual-function lever simplifies shield removal by releasing both the side cover and shield pin, making maintenance quick and straightforward. The larger latch enhances usability, even when wearing heavy gloves, and the shield features a positive stop to resist unintentional opening, with a slight pull on the lift tab to lift the shield effortlessly. The IC Duct5 system uses a three-position slide gate to improve sealing, reducing noise and water intrusion. The vents are mounted to be frangible, allowing them to break off easily upon impact to prevent snagging or excessive rotational force.
