The ARAI HELMETS Contour-X Helmet in Diamond White offers advanced aerodynamics and rider comfort designed for touring enthusiasts. Its lightweight shell features Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction (PB-cLc2), providing strength and durability without adding unnecessary weight. The helmet's stylish, organic shape is complemented by integrated side ducts and a flared opening, which facilitates easier donning and removal, especially for newcomers. An extra layer of super fiber belting in the outer shell maintains rigidity in critical areas, ensuring optimal protection during impact while allowing for a sleek profile.
The helmet incorporates a 3D ARAI logo duct that is just 3.5 mm deep, feeding two central 10 mm intake ports for improved airflow. The logo duct functions effectively at low speeds and in an upright riding position, with an easily operable short-stroke lever on top that can be opened or closed with summer or winter gloves. This feature allows riders to adjust ventilation quickly and conveniently. Additionally, the helmet is equipped with a sliding chin vent offering three positions*open, midway, and closed*delivering a high volume of airflow while including a replaceable filter to maintain air quality.
Designed for seamless communication system integration, the exterior shell includes a dedicated space for mounting devices without compromising structural integrity. The Variable Axis System (VAS) lowers the visor mounting point by an average of 24 mm across the temple areas, enhancing the helmet*s aerodynamic profile and providing better energy deflection. The shell flares 5 mm around the opening, improving comfort and ease of use, especially for those new to the helmet.
A distinctive feature is the aerodynamic rear spoiler inspired by the DF-X2 of the Corsair-X, now redesigned for touring. This one-piece spoiler, operated by a 3-way switch, is mounted forward on the shell for optimal airflow management. It effectively smooths airflow over and from the side of the helmet, reducing buffeting and rider fatigue during highway overtaking. The spoiler is engineered to break away in the event of an impact, ensuring safety is not compromised. An internal stitched opening on the neck roll allows easy cable management for communication systems, keeping wiring secure and out of sight for a clean, streamlined appearance.
