ZTechnik Z7103 Engine Guards are a silver pair designed to fit select BMW R1200 motorcycles, including the 2013–2016 BMW R1200GS, 2015–2016 BMW R1200R, and 2014–2018 BMW R1200RT. Manufacturer part number: Z7103. Vendor part number: 562-09903.
Constructed from e-coated 16-gauge steel, these engine guards feature electrophoretic coating applied inside and out to help eliminate rust and corrosion. The guards attach to the engine mounts rather than the engine covers, helping protect the motor’s heads and valve covers.
Integrated brackets on each guard provide mounting points for accessory lights, video cameras, or other equipment. The design allows clearance for oil changes and valve cover access, so the guards do not need to be removed for routine maintenance. All mounting hardware and easy-to-follow installation instructions are included.
These engine guards are not compatible with ZTechnik exhausts or any aftermarket exhaust headers because those exhaust configurations will not allow installation of the O2 sensor.
