The Vertex Pistons 24189A piston kit is designed for select Honda CRF450R and CRF450RX powersports applications. The kit uses an exact-fit piston matched to the cylinder bore to help maximize power and performance while reducing blow-by and oil consumption.
Each kit includes the piston, rings, wrist pin and circlips required for installation. The piston skirts feature a molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) coating intended to support faster break-in and increased piston life. The piston is also heat-treated using a T-5 hardening and tempering cycle.
