The SW-Motech ION Tank Ring provides a secure, reliable mounting point for SW-Motech ION series tank bags on select BMW motorcycles from 1992 through 2008. Designed to attach to the motorcycle’s original connection points near the fuel tank opening, this ring offers a clean, integrated installation without requiring permanent modifications to the bike.
The tank bag mounts above the painted fuel tank rather than resting directly on the surface, helping protect the paintwork from contact and abrasion. When it is time to refuel, the ION tank bag can be released quickly from the ring for convenient access to the fuel filler. The system is engineered for straightforward installation and dependable everyday use, making it a practical luggage solution for touring, commuting, and longer motorcycle trips.
Manufactured from durable fiberglass-reinforced polyamide, the SW-Motech ION Tank Ring is built to withstand regular motorcycle use while maintaining a low-profile appearance. This kit includes the ION Tank Ring, mounting hardware, and installation instructions. Confirm motorcycle model-specific compatibility before installation to ensure proper fitment with the original fuel tank mounting points.
