The SW-MOTECH engine guard replaces the original Honda guard and provides expanded coverage for the underbody, exhaust, and manifold components. Constructed from high-strength aluminum, it features a 5 mm lower section and 4 mm side walls for durable impact protection. The long, raised profile creates a larger protective surface than the original guard, while 8 mm hard-rubber elements help absorb and distribute impact forces. Bottom cutouts provide access to both oil drain plugs, allowing engine oil changes without removing the guard. Side openings improve ventilation, reduce weight, and complement the motorcycle’s appearance.
This SW-MOTECH Adventure Protection System fits all equipment variants of the Honda CRF1000L Africa Twin, including Standard, ABS, and DCT models, except DCT versions equipped with a gear lever. The engine guard is compatible with the original Honda side stand and the SW-MOTECH centerstand. It is intended to work with the SW-MOTECH centerstand-mounted engine guard extension where applicable.
