The RM STATOR RMS022-105928 regulator is a series voltage regulator designed for compatible CF-MOTO charging systems. It fits the 2015 and 2016 CF-MOTO CFORCE 400, 2016 CF-MOTO UFORCE 800, 2020 CF-MOTO UForce 500, 2016 and 2015 CF-MOTO ZFORCE 800 Trail, 2016 and 2015 CF-MOTO ZFORCE 800 EX, and 2015 and 2014 CF-MOTO CForce 500.
Unlike shunt and MOSFET voltage regulator rectifiers, the RM STATOR series regulator is designed to operate at lower temperatures. Its machined billet aluminum casing dissipates heat 33% better than standard molded casing. Power flows through the electrical components only while the battery is charging, helping reduce current through the stator when it is not in use.
A shunt regulator controls battery voltage by grounding stator coils and dissipating current as heat. This series regulator controls battery voltage by intermittently disconnecting the stator coils from the regulator electronics, limiting current flow through the unit and to the battery. This design provides more accurate voltage regulation and helps reduce operating temperatures for the regulator and stator, supporting the reliability of compatible charging system components.
