The RICK'S MOTORSPORT ELECTRIC 61-515 starter motor is designed for Polaris applications. It uses a double-sealed ball bearing in place of the unprotected output needle bearing found on many OEM starter motors, helping protect the bearing from moisture entering through the output cap and traveling along the armature shaft.
The output shaft seal is positioned outside the bearing to provide additional protection against water entry.
