RICK'S MOTORSPORT ELECTRIC model 61-506 is an aftermarket starter motor designed for Polaris applications. It features a double-sealed ball bearing positioned with the output shaft seal on the outside of the bearing, helping protect the bearing from damaging water entry through the output cap and along the armature shaft.
Unlike starter motors that use an unprotected output needle bearing outside the output shaft seal, this design helps reduce corrosion caused by moisture exposure. The sealed ball bearing is also replaceable, providing a serviceable bearing solution within the starter motor assembly.
