The PSR Cam Chain Tensioner, part number 07-02006-29, is a precision replacement for the factory automatic or hydraulic cam chain tensioner on select Yamaha motorcycles. CNC machined from billet aluminum, it provides a durable, serviceable solution for riders and technicians seeking improved control over cam chain tension. Its adjustable design helps maintain proper chain tension while supporting reliable engine operation.
Replacing the original tensioner can help address timing chain rattling and out-of-time conditions associated with automatic tensioner failure. The PSR unit also helps reduce excessive cam chain tension that may contribute to premature engine wear. Proper installation and adjustment are essential; follow the motorcycle manufacturer’s service procedures and verify correct cam timing before operation.
Fitment includes the 2015–2017 and 2018–2019 Yamaha YZF-R3, 2018–2019 Yamaha MT-07, 2018–2019 Yamaha XSR700, and 2021 Yamaha XTZ700 Ténéré. Confirm the year, model, and engine application before ordering. Manufacturer part number: PSR 07-02006-29. Vendor part number: 07-02006-29.
