The Outerwears ATV Pre-Filter Universal RU-0830 is designed to provide an additional layer of protection for compatible air filters used in off-road and powersports applications. Manufactured by Outerwears and identified by manufacturer and vendor part number 20-1001-01, this pre-filter helps protect the underlying air filter from sand, dirt, clay, water, and other unwanted contaminants while maintaining efficient air intake.
Dyno and flow-bench testing has shown no significant horsepower loss or noticeable restriction in airflow when using this product. Its silicone-impregnated micro-mesh material is water resistant and uses uniform micron-sized openings to allow air to enter while filtering particles as small as 0.005 inches in diameter. This construction makes the RU-0830 a practical fit for compatible ATV and off-road air filter applications where added environmental protection is needed.
The seams are dielectrically welded to support durability and help prevent contaminants from entering through stitched areas. The universal ATV pre-filter design is intended to fit compatible RU-0830 applications; verify the air filter model and fitment before installation. Outerwears part number 20-1001-01 provides a direct reference for identifying the correct replacement or accessory pre-filter.
