The OUTERWEARS ATV Pre-Filter Stock is designed to provide an added layer of protection for the air filter on compatible Yamaha YFZ450 models. Manufactured by OUTERWEARS, this pre-filter uses silicone-impregnated micro-mesh to help shield the engine air intake from sand, dirt, clay, and water while maintaining efficient airflow. Its stock-style design supports straightforward installation over the compatible air filter.
Dyno and flow bench testing has shown no significant loss of horsepower or air intake performance when using this product. The material features uniform micron-sized openings that filter particles as small as .005 inches in diameter without noticeable airflow restriction. The water-resistant silicone treatment helps limit moisture intrusion, making this pre-filter a practical choice for off-road riding conditions where dust, debris, and water can affect air filter performance.
Seams are dielectrically welded for durable construction and reliable protection during repeated use. The OUTERWEARS part number is 20-1935-01, and the manufacturer and vendor part number is 20-1935-01. Fitment includes the 2004–2009 Yamaha YFZ450, as well as the 2006 Yamaha YFZ450 Bill Balance Edition and 2007–2008 Yamaha YFZ450 SE. Confirm the model year and airbox configuration before installation.
