The OUTERWEARS ATV Pre-Filter is designed for use with UNI #2297 air filters, providing an added layer of protection for off-road engines operating in dusty, sandy, and dirty environments. Manufacturer part number 20-1405-01, this pre-filter helps reduce the amount of airborne debris reaching the primary air filter while supporting dependable airflow for recreational riding and utility use.
This OUTERWEARS pre-filter fits 1987–1996 Yamaha YFZ350 Banshee models. It is intended for riders who need additional air-filter protection during trail riding, motocross, desert riding, and other conditions where fine dust and particles can quickly load an exposed filter. The protective cover works with the compatible UNI #2297 filter and can help extend service intervals when properly maintained.
Installation is designed for a compatible, straightforward fit over the specified UNI air filter. Before installation, confirm that the existing filter is the correct UNI #2297 model and that the filter and pre-filter are clean and undamaged. Clean and service the pre-filter according to the manufacturer’s recommendations to maintain effective filtration and airflow. This product is not a replacement for the primary air filter; it is an additional protective layer for the intake system.
Fitment includes the 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, and 1996 Yamaha YFZ350 Banshee. The vendor part number is 25-5862, and the manufacturer part number is 20-1405-01.
