The Outerwears ATV Pre-Filter is designed for use with the K&N PL-1002 air filter and helps provide an added layer of protection against water, sand, dirt, clay, and other unwanted elements. Its silicone-impregnated micro-mesh construction is water resistant while maintaining airflow for dependable engine intake performance.
Dyno and flow bench testing has shown no significant horsepower or air intake loss when using this pre-filter. The material features uniform micron-sized openings that filter particles as small as .005 inches in diameter without noticeable airflow restriction. Dielectrically welded seams help provide durable construction in demanding off-road environments.
This Outerwears pre-filter fits select Polaris ATV applications, including the 1998 and 1999 Polaris Big Boss 500 6X6; 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, and 1999 Polaris Sport 400L; and 1996 and 1997 Polaris Magnum 425 2X4.
