The Outerwears 20-2251-01 Black Pre-Filter is designed to help protect the air filter and intake system on select Honda CRF450R motorcycles. Its silicone-impregnated micro-mesh construction helps resist water while filtering out sand, dirt, clay, and other unwanted debris before those contaminants reach the primary air filter. The pre-filter is designed for off-road conditions where maintaining clean intake air is essential.
Dyno and flow-bench testing has shown no significant loss of horsepower or air intake performance when using this Outerwears pre-filter. The material features uniform micron-sized openings that allow air to pass through efficiently while filtering particles as small as 0.005 inches in diameter without noticeable airflow restriction. Dielectrically welded seams provide a secure, durable construction for demanding riding environments.
Fitment includes 2002–2011 Honda CRF450R models. This black Outerwears pre-filter is a practical choice for riders seeking added protection against dust, sand, moisture, and trail debris while maintaining dependable engine airflow. Verify the motorcycle model and year before installation to ensure proper fit.
