The Namura NX-70047K Top End Kit is a complete standard-bore replacement kit designed for select 1996–1999 KTM 250 SX and KTM 250 EXC models with Nikasil-plated cylinders. This kit includes the piston, piston rings, wrist pin, retaining clips, top-end bearing, and gasket kit needed to refresh the upper engine assembly. The hypereutectic piston casting process increases silicon content to help control expansion, improve wear resistance, and withstand elevated cylinder temperatures. The piston also features a MOS2, or Teflon/molybdenum, coated skirt applied through a rolled-on process for a durable bond. This coating helps improve heat transfer, reduce friction, and minimize the risk of cold seizures during engine operation.
