The Motion Pro Black Vinyl Throttle Cable, manufacturer part number 06-0173 and vendor part number 70-6173, is designed as a direct-fit replacement for select Harley-Davidson touring motorcycles. This cable is compatible with the 1987–1989 Harley-Davidson FLHS Electra Glide Sport and 1987–1989 Harley-Davidson FLTC Tour Glide Classic. It uses precise OEM component dimensions to support proper routing, throttle operation, and reliable fitment.
Manufactured to meet or exceed OEM specifications, this Motion Pro throttle cable features a durable black vinyl outer covering and a special nylon inner liner for smooth operation. An additional outer sleeve helps protect the cable from wear and environmental exposure, making it suitable for routine replacement or restoration work. The part number is embossed on the cable for easy identification during installation or future service.
Motion Pro also identifies each cable with a color-coded header card indicating the machine brand, while the OEM part number is listed on the package. Verify the motorcycle model, year, and existing cable configuration before ordering to ensure proper fitment. This product is intended for the specified Harley-Davidson FLHS and FLTC applications and is supplied as a replacement throttle cable assembly.
