The Motion Pro Black Vinyl Clutch Cable, manufacturer part number 05-0017 and vendor part number 70-5017, is designed to provide dependable clutch control and smooth operation for select Yamaha motorcycles. Its longitudinally wound black housing resists compression under heavy loads, helping maintain a precise, positive lever feel without the mushiness associated with less rigid cable housings.
Built for durability and consistent performance, this clutch cable features premium chrome fittings and a polyethylene liner that supports smooth cable movement and long-term wear resistance. The black vinyl exterior provides a clean, factory-style appearance while helping protect the cable assembly during regular motorcycle use. This Motion Pro replacement cable is a practical choice for restoring proper clutch engagement and lever response during maintenance or repair.
Fitment: Fits 1982–1983 Yamaha XT125, 1982–1983 Yamaha XT200, 1985–1986 Yamaha XJ700 Maxim, 1985 Yamaha XJ700X Maxim X, and 1981–1983 Yamaha XJ750R Seca.
