The Motion Pro Black Vinyl Clutch Cable, manufacturer part number 04-0017 and vendor part number 70-4017, is designed to provide smooth, dependable clutch operation for select Suzuki GS motorcycles. This replacement cable features a durable black longitudinally-wound housing and premium chrome fittings for long-lasting performance and a clean, factory-style appearance.
Its longitudinally-wound housing resists compression under heavy loads, helping deliver a precise, positive clutch feel without the mushiness associated with conventional cable housings. A polyethylene liner promotes smooth cable movement and durability, making this cable well suited for street riding, maintenance replacements, and performance-focused motorcycle builds.
Fitment includes the 1980-1981 Suzuki GS750E, 1980-1981 Suzuki GS850G, 1978-1980 Suzuki GS1000E, 1978-1979 Suzuki GS1000, and 1979 Suzuki GS1000L. Verify the motorcycle model, year, cable routing, and existing cable configuration before installation to ensure proper fitment. The Motion Pro 04-0017 is manufactured for reliable replacement performance and is a suitable choice when restoring responsive clutch control on compatible Suzuki GS models.
