The Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Interact is a high-performance rear motorcycle tire designed for riders who want confident handling, dependable wet-weather traction, and consistent performance throughout the tire’s service life. This rear tire uses a 180/55ZR17 size with a 73W speed rating and is identified by manufacturer and vendor part number 2283700. Its construction and tread design are engineered to provide a precise, controlled feel for sport-touring motorcycles in a wide range of riding conditions.
The Roadtec Z8 Interact features three tension zones that help balance mileage, grip, and wet-weather performance. An updated profile and widened, more elliptical footprint improve wear regularity while supporting smooth, responsive handling. The profile is matched with Metzeler’s patented tread design to reduce push steering and make corner entry more predictable. Riders benefit from an intuitive response that promotes control during everyday riding, highway travel, and spirited cornering.
A high-silica compound enhanced with nanoparticles helps maintain grip and safety in changing weather conditions. The Greek pi tread pattern uses strategically designed longitudinal, radial, and spaced grooves to manage water effectively, including at higher lean angles. Deep longitudinal grooves assist water evacuation, while radial grooves support drainage through corners. Spaced grooves increase the amount of rubber contacting the road for dependable dry grip at full lean, while also helping reduce noise and vibration. The Metzeler Roadtec Z8 Interact combines long-wearing performance, stable handling, and all-weather confidence in a capable sport-touring rear tire.
