The FLY RACING Youth Formula S Carbon Byte Helmet is designed for young riders and features a 12K carbon fiber shell for a lightweight construction with superior penetration resistance. Its impact management system combines RHEON Impact Energy Cells, Conehead® EPS Technology, expanded-volume EPS, and an expanded polypropylene chin bar to help manage low-speed, high-speed, linear, and rotational impacts. A clavicle shell relief zone filled with EPS and EPP provides an additional design element intended to help reduce clavicle injuries.
The helmet includes Quin® Race Sensor technology with five scientific-grade sensors that evaluate data during use and automatically detect a crash event. Through the Fly Smart App and Bluetooth 5.0 connection, riders can access crash detection, emergency contact notifications, SOS Beacon functionality, live GPS tracking, speed, acceleration, Q-Score, and other ride analytics. A 5-diamond monitoring center dispatches local emergency services for APEX subscribers. Wireless updates help keep the device current, while integrated LED lights indicate device status and flash red if a crash occurs.
Comfort and ventilation features include a washable, moisture-wicking, anti-microbial comfort liner, quick-release cheek pads, custom-molded rubber trim with an integrated nose guard, and True Functional Ventilation. When the helmet is in motion, air passes through multiple intake vents, aligned EPS channels, and rear exhaust vents. The rechargeable battery supports a two-hour fast-charge mode through Micro USB and up to 60 days of battery life depending on usage, with automatic sleep and rise-to-wake functions. This Youth Formula S Carbon Byte Helmet is size YL, part number 73-4453YL, and includes a premium helmet garage and an extra visor.
