The Fly Racing Youth Formula S Carbon Abyss Helmet is a lightweight, high-performance off-road helmet designed for young riders who need advanced protection, integrated technology, and all-day comfort. This white and black helmet in youth large (YL) uses a 12K carbon fiber shell for excellent penetration resistance while helping reduce overall helmet weight. Manufacturer and vendor part number 73-4469YL.
Quin® Race Sensor technology uses five scientific-grade sensors to evaluate riding data and automatically identify a crash event. When paired with the Fly Smart App, crash information can be recorded and emergency contacts can be notified. The SOS Beacon allows riders to request assistance by tapping the helmet five times, while live GPS tracking, speed, acceleration, Q-Score, and other ride analytics help provide useful ride information. A Bluetooth® 5.0 connection and wireless updates keep the system connected to compatible mobile devices and current with the latest Fly Racing and Quin® developments.
Protection features include RHEON Impact Energy Cells, which help absorb low-speed linear and rotational impacts; Conehead® EPS Technology, which manages impact energy across multiple tuned zones; and expanded-volume EPS for additional impact-absorbing material in strategic areas. An expanded polypropylene chin bar adds energy absorption and damage resistance, while the clavicle shell relief zone helps reduce forces around the collarbone area. Integrated LED lights display device status and flash red after a detected crash.
Comfort and airflow are supported by washable, moisture-wicking, antimicrobial comfort liners and quick-release cheek pads. True Functional Ventilation channels air through the intake vents, aligned EPS passages, and rear exhaust vents while riding. The rechargeable battery supports fast charging through Micro USB and can provide up to 60 days of battery life depending on usage, with automatic sleep and wake functions. The Fly Racing Youth Formula S Carbon Abyss Helmet is intended for compatible youth off-road riding applications and should be selected according to the rider’s proper helmet fit and safety requirements.
