The Fly Racing Formula S Carbon Legacy Youth Helmet in Blue Carbon/Silver is a lightweight, high-performance off-road helmet designed for young riders who demand advanced protection, ventilation, and comfort. This youth extra-large model features a 12K carbon fiber shell engineered for excellent penetration resistance while maintaining a low overall weight. The helmet is ECE and DOT approved for dependable protection during motocross, off-road, and powersports riding.
Fly Racing’s Adaptive Impact System (AIS) combines multiple technologies to help manage impact energy. RHEON Impact Energy Cells help absorb low-speed linear and rotational impacts, reducing forces transmitted to the brain. Conehead EPS Technology uses tuned impact zones for progressive response to both low- and high-speed impacts, while expanded-volume EPS provides additional energy-absorbing material in strategic areas. An expanded polypropylene chin bar adds further impact mitigation and damage resistance, and the clavicle shell relief zone is filled with EPS and EPP to help reduce the potential for clavicle injuries.
Comfort and airflow are supported by washable, moisture-wicking, anti-microbial comfort liner and quick-release cheek pads. Fly Racing True Functional Ventilation (TFV) directs air through multiple intake vents, aligned EPS channels, and rear exhaust vents to help maintain airflow while riding. Custom-molded rubber trim includes an integrated nose guard, and a premium helmet garage plus an extra visor are included. The Fly Racing manufacturer and vendor part number is 73-4448YL. Optional cold-weather accessories include the Fly Racing YL-LG breath box, part number 73-47209, and the youth-large cold-weather liner, part number 73-47208YL.
