The Fly Racing Formula S Carbon Byte Helmet in Red Carbon/Red/Grey is a medium-size motorcycle helmet designed for riders who demand advanced impact protection, integrated connectivity, and lightweight performance. Manufacturer and vendor part number 73-4451M identifies this ECE- and DOT-approved model. Its 12K carbon fiber shell provides high penetration resistance while helping reduce overall helmet weight, making it well suited for street, adventure, and performance riding applications.
Integrated Quin® Race Sensor technology uses five scientific-grade sensors to continuously evaluate riding data and automatically detect a crash event. When paired with the Fly Smart App, the helmet can record impact information, notify emergency contacts, and provide access to emergency response services for APEX subscribers. The SOS Beacon function allows riders to request assistance by tapping the helmet five times, while ride analytics provide live GPS tracking, speed, acceleration data, Q-Score information, and other ride metrics. Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and wireless updates help maintain communication with the Fly Smart App and support ongoing device improvements from Fly Racing and Quin®.
Impact protection is supported by RHEON® Impact Energy Cells, Conehead® EPS Technology, expanded-volume EPS, and an expanded polypropylene chin bar. These systems are tuned across six critical zones to manage both low-speed and high-speed impacts, including linear and rotational forces. A dedicated clavicle shell relief zone uses EPS and EPP to help reduce injury risk around the collarbone. True Functional Ventilation channels air through multiple intake vents, aligned EPS passages, and rear exhaust vents to promote airflow while riding.
The washable, moisture-wicking, antimicrobial comfort liner and quick-release cheek pads support a secure, comfortable fit and convenient maintenance. Integrated LED indicators display device status and flash red following a detected crash. The rechargeable battery supports fast charging through Micro USB and can provide up to 60 days of battery life depending on usage, with automatic sleep and wake functions. This medium Fly Racing Formula S Carbon Byte helmet includes a premium helmet garage and an extra visor.
