The Fly Racing Formula S Carbon Byte Helmet combines advanced impact protection, lightweight construction, and connected safety technology for serious off-road riding. This size 2X helmet features a 12K carbon fiber shell designed to provide excellent penetration resistance while maintaining a low overall weight. The helmet is ECE and DOT approved for dependable protection on the trail or track.
Integrated Quin® technology uses five scientific-grade sensors to evaluate riding data and automatically detect a crash event. When paired with the Fly Smart App, crash information can be recorded and emergency contacts can be notified. APEX subscribers also receive access to a five-diamond monitoring center that can dispatch local emergency services. The SOS Beacon allows riders to request assistance by tapping the helmet five times, while live GPS tracking, speed, acceleration, and Q-Score data support detailed ride analytics. Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and wireless updates help keep the system current.
Impact protection is enhanced by RHEON Impact Energy Cells, Conehead® EPS Technology, expanded-volume EPS, and an expanded polypropylene chin bar. These systems are tuned across six critical zones to manage both low-speed and high-speed impacts. A clavicle shell relief zone adds additional protective space around the lower helmet area. True Functional Ventilation channels air through the shell and liner, with multiple intake and rear exhaust vents supporting airflow during motion.
The washable, moisture-wicking, antimicrobial comfort liner and quick-release cheek pads improve fit and serviceability. Integrated LED indicators display device status and flash red after a detected crash. A rechargeable battery supports fast charging through Micro USB and can provide up to 60 days of battery life depending on use. The helmet includes a premium helmet garage and an extra visor.
