The Fly Racing Formula S Carbon Abyss Helmet in White/Black, Medium, combines advanced impact protection with connected riding technology for serious off-road and powersports use. Manufacturer part number 73-4469M and vendor part number 73-4469M identify this model. The helmet features a lightweight 12K carbon fiber shell designed for superior penetration resistance, while the integrated Quin® Race Sensor system uses five scientific-grade sensors to evaluate riding data and automatically detect a crash event.
When connected to the Fly Smart App, the helmet can record impact data, notify emergency contacts, and support emergency service dispatch through the 5-diamond monitoring center for APEX subscribers. The SOS Beacon allows riders to request assistance by tapping the helmet five times. Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity enables access to live GPS tracking, speed, acceleration, Q-Score, ride analytics, and wireless device updates. Integrated LED lights display device status and flash red when a crash is detected.
Feature: Impact protection includes RHEON® Impact Energy Cells for managing low-speed linear and rotational impacts, Conehead® EPS Technology for progressive impact response, expanded-volume EPS, and an expanded polypropylene chin bar for added energy absorption. A clavicle shell relief zone uses EPS and EPP to help reduce clavicle injury risk. The custom-molded rubber trim includes an integrated nose guard, while washable, moisture-wicking, antimicrobial comfort liners and quick-release cheek pads support long-term comfort and easy maintenance.
Feature: True Functional Ventilation forces air through multiple intake vents, aligned EPS channels, and rear exhaust vents while the helmet is in motion. The rechargeable battery supports a two-hour fast-charge mode through Micro USB and can provide up to 60 days of battery life depending on usage, with automatic sleep and wake functions. The Medium size is suited for riders requiring a medium helmet fit; verify the manufacturer's sizing guide before purchase. This helmet is intended for compatible off-road and powersports riding applications.
