The FLY RACING Formula S Carbon Protocol Helmet in Black Carbon/Grey/Hi Vis, size 2X, combines advanced impact management with integrated connected safety features. Its 12K carbon fiber shell is designed for an extremely lightweight construction with superior penetration resistance. Impact Energy Cells made of RHEON help absorb low-speed linear and rotational impacts, while Conehead® EPS Technology uses tuned zones for progressive impact response. Expanded-volume EPS and an expanded polypropylene chin bar provide additional impact-absorbing material and damage resistance.
The helmet includes Quin® Race Sensor technology with five scientific-grade sensors that constantly evaluate data during use and automatically detect a crash event. Through the Fly Smart App, crash impact data can be recorded and emergency contacts can be notified. The SOS Beacon allows the rider to notify emergency contacts and emergency services for APEX subscribers by tapping the helmet five times. Ride analytics include live GPS tracking, speed, accelerations and Q-Score. Bluetooth 5.0 connects the helmet device to the Fly Smart App, while wireless updates provide the latest developments from FLY RACING and Quin®.
A rechargeable battery supports a two-hour fast-charge mode through Micro USB and up to 60 days of battery life depending on usage, with automatic sleep and rise-to-wake functions. Integrated LED lights indicate device status and flash red if a crash occurs. Additional design features include a clavicle shell relief zone, custom-molded rubber trim with an integrated nose guard, washable moisture-wicking antimicrobial comfort liner and quick-release cheek pads.
