Boyesen Watercraft Power Reeds, manufacturer part number 13 and vendor part number 58-0413, are performance-enhancing OEM replacement reed petals designed for select Kawasaki personal watercraft engines. This reed set fits the 2003–2011 Kawasaki 800 SX-R and the 1994 Kawasaki SS. Order one set per motor for proper installation and coverage.
The patented dual-stage design uses a lightweight, resilient top reed and a stiffer, ported bottom reed to improve airflow throughout the engine’s powerband. The top reed supports crisp throttle response at low to mid RPM, while the ported bottom reed increases flow and horsepower at higher RPM. Its multi-port design creates additional channels for the intake charge, helping increase velocity to the intake ports.
The dual-stage reeds work together to respond quickly and accurately to changes in engine pressure. Replacing the stock reed stop with the included Rev-Plate allows the reeds to open more freely and operate efficiently. Riders may experience quicker acceleration, crisper throttle response, and improved horsepower throughout the powerband. Boyesen Part Number 13 is intended as a direct-fit performance replacement for compatible applications.
