Improve throttle response and engine performance with Boyesen 6105 dual-stage reeds, designed specifically for 2002–2011 Yamaha YZ85 motorcycles. This motorcycle reed assembly uses a staged design to help the engine respond more quickly across changing throttle conditions while supporting improved airflow through the intake system.
The Boyesen 6105 reed set is engineered to open and close faster than conventional reed designs, helping deliver stronger low-pressure, low-throttle response and increased air velocity. Its greater flow area can support improved horsepower throughout the operating range, making it a practical performance upgrade for riders seeking sharper acceleration and more responsive engine behavior.
Built for durability, these dual-stage reeds are designed for longer overall service life under demanding riding conditions. The reed construction also helps reduce the risk of engine damage if a reed breaks, providing an added level of protection compared with traditional reed materials. Installation should follow the Yamaha service manual and use the proper intake and reed-cage inspection procedures.
