The BMC FM248/01 replacement air filter is designed for select Ducati Monster applications from 2001 through 2006. It uses multilayer cotton gauze soaked with low-viscosity oil and covered by an epoxy-coated alloy mesh to help protect against petrol fumes and oxidation caused by air humidity. The filter is pre-oiled and washable with the appropriate BMC regeneration kit.
BMC states that its high-performance filter materials increase airflow while improving filtration, with impurity containment as small as 7 microns compared with 10 microns for OEM filters. A single-mold design eliminates welded joints that may be prone to breakage. This powersports air filter measures 219 mm by 285 mm and includes a 2-year limited warranty.
