The Arai Signet-X Helmet in Aluminum Silver and size XL is designed for riders who need a long-oval helmet shape, with additional interior space from front to back and a closer fit from side to side. This configuration accommodates a narrow head shape with a more pronounced forehead. Manufactured by Arai Helmets, the Signet-X combines a carefully shaped shell, advanced shield operation, and comfort-focused interior components for dependable performance on the road. Vendor part number 0101-18191 identifies this specific helmet configuration.
The Variable Axis System (VAS) shield mechanism helps improve shell shape and lowers the shield pivot point by an average of 0.94 inches, creating a smoother surface around the critical temple area. This design is intended to help reduce the amount of impact energy transferred into the helmet. The VAS latch securely captures the shield when closed, helping prevent unexpected opening, while the larger latch supports intuitive operation. The included VAS-Max Vision shield accepts a VAS-MV Pinlock lens, and a Pinlock 120 lens is included for improved fog resistance.
The Signet-X features a Peripherally Belted Super Complex Laminate Construction (PB-SCLC) shell for a balance of strength, performance, and practical value. QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts promote airflow during riding, including continued side exhaust performance when the top duct shutter is closed. FCS cheek pads use contoured shaping and multiple foam densities with a supporting foam spring to cradle the face and help reduce wind noise. A water-repellent, removable ES chin cover helps refine the helmet’s aerodynamic profile and increase mouth-area exhaust. The odor-resistant liner helps resist bacterial buildup and maintain a fresher interior over time.
