The Arai Regent-X Helmet combines advanced protection, intuitive operation, and a comfortable intermediate oval fit designed for the majority of head shapes in North American markets. This Stars & Stripes Dark XS model features Arai’s Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction (PB-CLC) shell, developed to provide a strong, lightweight foundation. The shell is smoothly shaped through the temple area along the Snell test line to help the helmet glance off objects during an impact, while the flared base makes the helmet easier to put on and remove without compromising a secure fit.
The Variable Axis System (VAS) shield mechanism uses a smaller, lower pivot cover to increase the shell area above the cover and support a smoother overall profile. Its larger latch promotes quick, easy, and intuitive shield operation, while the VAS latch captures and securely holds the shield closed to help prevent unexpected opening. An always-open top exhaust vent assists with heat extraction and helps reduce moisture buildup around the eye port that can contribute to shield fogging. The one-piece exhaust vent further supports ventilation performance and aerodynamic stability.
Inside, the Arai Regent-X Helmet includes an adjustable perimeter liner and cheek pads for a more precise fit. The soft-brushed liner is removable for convenient cleaning and provides a comfortable feel during extended rides. FCS® Cheek Pads use a contoured shape, multiple foam densities, and a foam spring to cradle the face, help block wind noise, and maintain a supportive fit. The base flares 5 mm around the opening, working with the FCS2 cheek pads to make entry and removal more manageable while keeping the helmet comfortably secure.
