The Arai Quantum-X Helmet is engineered for riders who need a comfortable, stable fit and advanced protection for everyday road riding. This Steel and Red helmet features a round oval interior shape, making it well suited to riders whose heads are slightly wider rather than elongated. The interior head liner combines thicker front and rear pads with thinner side pads to create a secure, balanced fit. FCS® cheek pads use multiple layers of varying foam densities and a supportive foam spring to cradle the face, simplify helmet removal, and help reduce wind noise. A water-repellent ES chin cover comes installed to enhance the helmet’s egg-shaped profile while smoothing airflow and reducing wind noise from below.
The Variable Axis System (VAS) shield system lowers the shield pivot point by an average of 24 mm, creating a smoother shell surface in the critical temple area. This design helps improve the helmet’s ability to glance off impacts and reduce the energy transferred into the helmet. The improved VAS shield latch captures and securely holds the shield closed to help prevent unexpected opening. Its larger design also supports intuitive shield operation and includes a de-mist function for practical use in changing riding conditions. The included VAS-Max Vision (VAS-MV) shield accepts a VAS-MV Pinlock® lens, and a Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ lens is included.
Ventilation is managed through QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts, providing effective airflow for a more comfortable ride. The side vent continues to function as an exhaust vent even when the front shutter on the top duct is closed, helping maintain air movement across a range of conditions. The shell uses Peripherally Belted Super Complex Laminate Construction (PB-SCLC), combining multiple materials and construction techniques to support a strong, carefully engineered design. Finished in a 2XL fit and identified by part number 0101-15741, the Arai Quantum-X offers a refined combination of fit, ventilation, shield functionality, and road-focused performance.
