The Arai Quantum-X Helmet in Steel Blue is designed for riders with slightly wider, round-oval head shapes. Part number 0101-18123 features an interior head liner with thicker front and rear pads and thinner side pads for a secure, comfortable fit. The carefully shaped liner helps provide balanced support while the contoured FCS® cheek pads cradle the face, improve comfort during helmet removal, and help reduce wind noise. Multiple foam densities and an internal foam spring support the cheek pads for a close, adaptable fit.
The Arai Quantum-X uses a Variable Axis System (VAS) shield system that lowers the shield pivot point by an average of 24 mm. This creates a smoother shell surface in the critical temple area, helping improve the helmet’s ability to glance off impacts. The improved VAS latch securely captures the shield when closed to help prevent unexpected opening, while its larger design supports intuitive shield operation and includes a de-mist function. The included VAS-Max Vision (VAS-MV) shield accepts a VAS-MV Pinlock® lens, and a Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ lens is included for enhanced fog resistance.
Ventilation is managed by QVF three-position intake ducts and QVR exhaust ducts to support effective airflow while riding. The side vent continues functioning as an exhaust vent even when the front shutter on the top duct is closed. A water-repellent ES chin cover comes installed to enhance the helmet’s egg-shaped profile, smooth airflow, increase exhaust from the mouth area, and help reduce wind noise from below. The peripherally belted Super Complex Laminate Construction (PB-SCLC) shell combines multiple materials and construction techniques to provide a balanced blend of performance and value.
