The ARAI HELMETS XD-5 Nation Helmet in Large size combines the VAS-A shield system, PB-cLc² shell construction, and adventure-focused airflow management for riding comfort and visibility. The lowered VAS-A shield system is designed to improve glancing-off ability, while a super fiber belt reinforces the forehead area of the shell. The PB-cLc² shell is assembled from an assortment of materials.
The helmet features a peak designed to improve ventilation, increase high-speed flow-through performance, provide greater sun-blocking adjustability, and resist buffeting. Its one-screw-per-side design allows removal and installation, while the shield can be attached or removed without tools for faster shield changes. The VAS-A Max-Vision Shield preserves the wide field of view and visibility expected of an XD model. An optional Pinlock® insert is available for this model and is designed to resist fogging across the field of view, including in extreme conditions.
Airflow can be adjusted through the mouth shutter and inner shutter. With the outer shutter open and inner shutter closed, airflow is directed toward the shield to help reduce fogging. With both shutters open, airflow is directed toward the mouth. The front logo duct allows forehead ventilation without compromising the helmet's protective design, and its airflow is intended to remain unaffected by the rider's position. An AR spoiler helps reduce fatigue from turbulent air during long adventure rides while drawing hot air from the crown area. The interior is odor-resistant.
