The Arai Helmets XD-5 Africa Twin Helmet combines adventure-focused protection, ventilation, and visibility in a red small-size design. Built for riders who move between paved roads and demanding off-road conditions, the XD-5 uses a PB-cLc² shell with a reinforced forehead area. The shell construction combines multiple materials to help provide strength while preserving the fit and balance expected from an adventure helmet. This helmet is designed to fit riders seeking dependable protection and comfort for adventure touring applications, including Honda Africa Twin riding environments.
The VAS-A Shield System allows the shield to be installed or removed without tools, making shield changes faster and easier. Its lowered shield design helps improve glancing-off performance, while the VAS-A Max-Vision Shield maintains the broad field of view associated with the XD model. The optional Pinlock® insert is designed to resist fogging across the viewing area, including during demanding weather and temperature conditions. The removable peak uses one screw on each side and provides improved sun coverage, adjustability, and resistance to buffeting at speed.
Ventilation is managed through several adjustable features. The mouth shutter increases fresh-air intake, while the inner shutter helps direct airflow toward the rider’s mouth or the shield to assist with fog reduction. The front logo duct provides airflow that remains effective across different riding positions without compromising shell protection. An adventure-oriented AR spoiler helps reduce turbulent-air fatigue on extended rides and draws warm air away from the crown area. The odor-resistant interior supports a fresher feel during regular use. This product is the Arai Helmets XD-5 Africa Twin Helmet, red, small, manufacturer and vendor part number 0140-0381.
