The ARAI HELMETS Corsair-X Helmet in the Ogura design and Small size features a VAS shield mechanism designed for quick, simple shield removal. Its dual-function lever releases both the side cover and shield pin, while the variable-axis mechanism with a moving pivot point helps the shield open and close smoothly. The visible shield mechanism also supports easier shield changes, and the VAS latch securely holds the shield closed while supporting intuitive shield operation.
The helmet uses a PB-SNC² shell created from super fiber and synthetic fibers to provide tensile strength, flexibility and reduced weight. Its smaller, lower VAS pivot cover and smooth shell in the temple area are designed to increase glance-off ability during an impact. Diffuser Type 12 air intake vents feature three positions and are designed to improve sealing while decreasing road noise and water intrusion.
Interior features include a fully removable odor-resistant comfort liner, removable temple padding and a removable, replaceable crown pad for a customizable fit. The VAS Max-V (BV) clear shield is standard, along with a clear Pinlock® insert.
