The ARAI HELMETS Corsair-X Helmet in black and small size features a VAS shield mechanism designed with a variable axis and moving pivot point. Its dual-function lever releases both the side cover and shield pin, allowing quick and simple shield removal. The visible mechanism supports easier shield changes, while the larger shield latch provides intuitive operation and includes a de-mist function. The latch captures and securely holds the shield closed to help prevent unexpected opening.
The helmet uses a PB-SNC² shell created from super fiber and synthetic fibers to provide tensile strength and flexibility characteristics. A smaller, lower VAS pivot cover and smooth shell design in the temple area support glance-off ability. Diffuser Type 12 air intake vents have three positions and are designed to improve sealing while decreasing road noise and water intrusion. The IC Duct5 provides airflow with a three-position switch that is easier to open and limits water intrusion when fully closed.
A fully removable odor-resistant interior comfort liner helps maintain a neutral pH level close to the skin. The soft frame material includes removable temple padding and a removable and replaceable crown pad for a customized fit.
