The ARAI HELMETS Regent-X Helmet in Black Frost, size Large, features the Variable Axis System (VAS) shield mechanism and a Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction (PB-CLC) shell. The VAS design uses a smaller, lower pivot cover to provide more shell area above the cover, while the smooth shell shape along the Snell test line in the temple area is designed to improve the helmet’s ability to glance off objects during an impact. A larger latch supports intuitive shield operation, and the VAS latch securely holds the shield closed to help prevent unexpected opening.
Designed for the intermediate oval head shape common in North American markets, this helmet includes an adjustable perimeter liner and cheek pads for a customized fit. The soft-brushed liner is removable for cleaning and comfort. FCS® cheek pads use a contoured shape, multiple foam densities, and a foam spring to cradle the face and help block wind noise. The shell flares around the base to make the helmet easier to put on and remove while remaining secure with the FCS2 cheek pads.
Ventilation features include a one-piece exhaust vent designed to improve exhaust performance and aerodynamic stability. The top exhaust vent remains open to assist with heat extraction and help reduce moisture buildup in the eye-port area that can contribute to shield fogging.
