The Arai Helmets Ram-X motorcycle helmet is designed for riders seeking advanced protection, comfort, and adaptable visibility in a lightweight package. This fluorescent yellow helmet is offered in an XS size and features an intermediate oval shape, making it suitable for the majority of head shapes commonly found in the North American market. The Ram-X combines Arai’s proven shell construction with carefully engineered ventilation, shield, and interior systems for dependable performance on the road.
The Variable Axis System (VAS) shield design uses a lower dual-pivot assembly to reduce the size and position of the pivot cover. This creates more shell area above the cover and a smoother temple region, helping the helmet glance off surfaces more effectively during an impact. The VAS-Z shield accepts a VAS-Z Pinlock lens, and the helmet includes a Pinlock-120 fog-resistant lens to help maintain clear vision in changing weather conditions. The Pro Shade System adapts to varying light conditions without compromising impact-absorption performance and allows airflow even at higher speeds.
Inside, the one-piece, multi-density EPS liner is engineered to help manage impact energy. Arai’s Z Resin shell construction bonds multiple shell layers and materials securely while using less resin, contributing to strength and reduced weight. The removable earcups include washable covers, while removable foam in the upper earcup area creates additional clearance for eyeglass arms. These features make the helmet practical for riders who wear glasses and for those who value convenient interior maintenance.
