The Arai Quantum-X Helmet in Pearl Black and Medium is designed for riders with a round oval head shape, offering a comfortable fit for heads that are slightly wider rather than elongated. Its interior liner combines thicker front and rear pads with thinner side pads to provide supportive, balanced comfort. FCS® Cheek Pads use a contoured shape, multiple foam densities, and a foam “spring” to cradle the face, simplify helmet removal, reduce wind noise, and maintain a secure fit during every ride.
The VAS shield system improves protection and usability through a lower pivot point that creates a smoother shell surface in the critical temple area, helping the helmet better manage impact energy. The improved VAS latch captures and securely holds the shield closed while the larger latch allows intuitive operation and supports the de-mist function. This Quantum-X includes a VAS-Max Vision (VAS-MV) shield that accepts the included Pinlock® 120 MaxVision™ lens for enhanced visibility in changing weather conditions.
Ventilation performance comes from QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts, providing effective airflow for rider comfort. The side vent continues to function as an exhaust vent even when the top duct’s front shutter is closed. A water-repellent ES Chin Cover is installed to enhance the helmet’s egg-shaped profile, smooth airflow, increase mouth-area exhaust, and help reduce wind noise entering from below. The Peripherally Belted Super Complex Laminate Construction (PB-SCLC) shell combines multiple materials and manufacturing techniques for dependable performance and lasting value.
