The ARAI HELMETS Quantum-X Helmet in Large and Diamond Black is designed with a round oval shape for riders whose heads are slightly wider rather than elongated. Its interior head liner combines thicker front and rear pads with thinner side pads to support this head shape. The helmet features a Peripherally Belted Super Complex Laminate Construction (PB-SCLC) shell designed to combine multiple materials and techniques.
The Variable Axis System (VAS) shield system lowers the pivot point by an average of 24 mm, creating a smoother shell surface in the temple area to help reduce impact energy entering the helmet. The VAS latch securely holds the shield closed and supports intuitive shield operation, while the VAS-Max Vision shield accepts the included Pinlock 120 MaxVision lens.
QVF three-position intake and QVR exhaust ducts provide air intake and exhaust performance while riding. The side vent continues to serve as an exhaust vent when the front shutter on the top duct is closed. FCS cheek pads use a contoured shape, multiple foam densities and a foam spring to cradle the face, ease helmet removal and help block wind noise. The installed water-repellent ES chin cover enhances the helmet's egg shape, smooths airflow, increases exhaust from the mouth area and reduces wind noise from below.
