The Arai Helmets XD-5 Helmet in Black, size Large, is designed for adventure riding with features focused on airflow, visibility, comfort, and protection. Its PB-cLc² shell uses an assortment of materials, with a super fiber belt reinforcing the forehead area. The VAS-A shield system is positioned lower to improve glancing-off ability and allows quick shield changes without tools.
The adjustable peak is designed to improve ventilation and high-speed flow-through performance while offering a wider range of sun-blocking adjustment and increased resistance to buffeting. The mouth shutter provides additional fresh air, while the inner shutter allows airflow to be directed toward the rider’s mouth or shield to help reduce fogging. A front logo duct provides airflow that is less affected by riding position without compromising the forehead area.
The VAS-A Max-Vision shield preserves a wide field of view and high visibility expected of an XD model. An optional Pinlock® insert is available for this model and is designed to resist fogging across the field of view, including in extreme conditions. The AR spoiler helps reduce fatigue from turbulent air during long rides and draws hot air from the crown area. An odor-resistant interior completes the helmet. Manufacturer part number: 0140-0408. Vendor part number: 0140-0408.
