The ARAI HELMETS Corsair-X Helmet in Medium is designed with a PB-SNC² shell created from super fiber and synthetic fibers to provide tensile strength, flexibility, and reduced weight. Its VAS shield mechanism uses a variable axis and moving pivot point to help the shield open and close smoothly, even with a lower shield mount position. The dual-function lever releases both the side cover and shield pin for quick shield removal, while the visible mechanism supports easier shield changes.
The helmet includes a VAS Max-V (BV) clear shield for visibility across seasons and riding conditions, along with a clear Pinlock® insert. The larger shield latch provides intuitive operation, includes a de-mist function, and securely captures the shield when closed to help prevent unexpected opening. The smaller, lower VAS pivot cover and smooth shell profile in the temple area are designed to improve the helmet’s ability to glance off objects during an impact.
Ventilation features include Diffuser Type 12 air intake vents with three positions to help improve sealing and decrease road noise and water intrusion. The IC Duct5 provides airflow with a three-position switch that is easier to open and helps limit water intrusion when fully closed. The fully removable odor-resistant interior comfort liner helps maintain a neutral pH level close to the skin and includes removable temple padding and a removable, replaceable crown pad for a customized fit.
