Its combined pin and double-pivot trajectories support smooth shield opening and closing with a lower shield mount position. A dual-function lever releases both the side cover and shield pin for quick shield removal, while the visible mechanism helps simplify shield changes.
The VAS latch includes a de-mist function and is designed to capture and securely hold the shield closed.
