This 2XL full-face helmet features Arai’s PB-SNC² shell, constructed from super fiber and synthetic fibers to provide a strong, flexible structure while helping reduce weight. The VAS Shield Mechanism makes shield changes easier by allowing access to the mechanism and using a dual-function lever to release both the side cover and shield pin. Its variable-axis design incorporates a moving pivot point, helping the shield open and close smoothly despite the lower shield mount position. The VAS latch securely captures the shield when closed, while its larger design supports intuitive operation and includes a de-mist function. A VAS Max-V BV Shield is included for broad, all-season visibility, along with a clear Pinlock® insert to help reduce fogging in changing riding conditions.
Ventilation and comfort are supported by the Diffuser Type 12 air intake vents and IC Duct5 system. The intake vents offer three positions and are designed to improve sealing while helping reduce road noise and water intrusion. The IC Duct5 switch also provides three-position control, easier operation, and improved water resistance when closed. Inside, the fully removable odor-resistant comfort liner helps maintain a neutral pH level near the skin. Soft frame materials enhance comfort, while removable temple padding and a removable, replaceable crown pad allow riders to customize the fit.
