The VAS Shield Mechanism uses a variable-axis design with a moving pivot point and dual pivot-point slots. A dual-function lever releases both the side cover and shield pin, making shield removal quick and straightforward. The visible mechanism also simplifies shield changes, while the larger shield latch provides intuitive operation, includes a de-mist function, and securely holds the shield closed to help prevent unexpected opening.
Visibility and airflow are supported by the VAS Max-V (BV) Shield, which is designed to provide a wide field of view across changing riding conditions. A clear Pinlock® insert is included to help reduce fogging in cool or humid weather. The Diffuser Type 12 air intake vents offer three positions and are designed to improve sealing, helping reduce road noise and limit water intrusion. The IC Duct5 system provides additional airflow with a three-position switch that is easier to operate and helps restrict water entry when fully closed.
Inside, the odor-resistant, fully removable comfort liner helps maintain a neutral pH level close to the skin for a more comfortable riding experience.
