The VAS Shield Mechanism uses a variable-axis design with a moving pivot point to allow smooth shield operation despite the lower shield mount position. A dual-function lever releases the side cover and shield pin, making shield removal quick and straightforward. The mechanism remains visible for easier shield changes, while the larger shield latch provides intuitive operation and helps securely hold the shield closed. The VAS Max-V (BV) Shield is designed to provide broad visibility in changing riding conditions, and a clear Pinlock® insert is included for improved fog resistance.
Ventilation is managed by the IC Duct5 intake and Diffuser Type 12 exhaust system. The IC Duct5 features a three-position switch for adjustable airflow and improved water resistance when closed. Three-position air intake vents help enhance sealing to reduce road noise and limit water intrusion. These systems work together to help maintain a more comfortable interior environment during extended rides.
The fully removable, odor-resistant interior liner helps maintain a neutral pH level close to the skin for lasting comfort. Soft frame materials, removable temple padding, and a removable and replaceable crown pad allow riders to fine-tune the fit.
