The Alpinestars Youth SM3 Wurx Helmet is designed for young off-road riders who need lightweight protection, adjustable comfort, and effective ventilation. This medium-size helmet features a thermo-injected shell made from an advanced impact-resistant thermoplastic with a specialized polymer blend and strategically varied thickness. The result is a balanced combination of impact protection and reduced weight for demanding riding conditions. The Alpinestars Youth SM3 helmet is finished in Gloss Black, Yellow Fluo, Blue, and Red and is identified by manufacturer and vendor part number 8302025-1574-YM.
A multiple-density EPS liner places the appropriate density in key impact zones to support energy absorption while helping maintain a lightweight design. The inner and outer surfaces are engineered to help minimize the effects of oblique impacts, while a low-friction coating on the main EPS liner helps reduce rotational acceleration forces by creating a slip-plane effect. Ten intake vents and seven exhaust ports maximize airflow and heat transfer, with the visor directing air toward the ventilation channels for improved cooling during off-road use.
The helmet’s fit can be tailored with replaceable crown and cheek pads available in different thicknesses. Integrated hydration tube channels in the cheek pads add convenience, while the recycled-material comfort liner supports a lower-impact construction approach. A 25 mm soft textile chin strap, stainless-steel D-rings, and a secure retention system help provide a comfortable, dependable fit. The visor release system is designed to release at a predetermined force to help reduce neck loading during an impact. An Emergency Release System and removable cheek pads allow trained responders to remove the cheek pads while the helmet remains in place. The Alpinestars Youth SM3 Wurx is intended for youth riders and should be selected according to the manufacturer’s sizing and fit guidance.
